To use the private customer portion of the Mitchell Electronics, inc. website, you must have cookies enabled in your web browser. The cookie set by the Mitchell Electronics, inc. webpage is a simple true/false value which is set when you log into the private customer portion of the website and determines if you have logged in with a valid username and password combination. Once this cookie is set on your computer, it remains set until you close your browser (or logout), allowing you to visit any password protected pages whose access is restricted to users with a valid customer username and password. This cookie only marks whether or not you have logged in to the customer portion of the website and does not store any personal information.
Microsoft Internet Explorer:
To view or change your MSIE privacy (cookie) settings, click on "Tools" in the menu bar of your browser window and select "Internet Options..." When the Internet Options window comes up, click on the "Privacy" tab to view your privacy settings.
If your browser is using default privacy settings, you must have your privacy settings set at "medium-high" or lower to be able to access the customer portion of our website.
If your browser is using custom settings, click on the "Advanced..." button to view these settings. Here you will see options for "First-party Cookies." This setting must be set to "Accept" or "Prompt" to access the customer portion of our website. If "Prompt" is selected, remember to allow the cookie to be set when logging in. To exit the advanced settings window click "Ok."
To exit the internet options window click "Ok" again.
Firefox Browser:
To view or change your Firefox privacy (cookie) settings, click on "Tools" in the menu bar of your browser window and select "Options." When the Options window comes up, click on the "Privacy" icon and select the "Cookies" tab.
If the checkbox next to "Allow sites to set Cookies" is unchecked you may either click it (mark it checked) or add an exception. To add an exception allowing a cookie to be set when you log into our page, click the "Exception" button, enter "http://mitchell-electronics.com/" into the the text box in the window that comes up, and click "Allow." To exit this window, click "Close."
To exit the Options window, click "Ok."
