APPLICATIONS FOR ENGINEERING PERSONNEL
Engineering applications for the PulsePro are very
broad and can be complicated, but the operation is still simple.
Operator prompts and display messages reduce the need to reference
the manual. Complicated applications are supported by examples
in the manual and by a series of application notes.
- The data logging option may be used to verify new
designs or help debug new software as well as supporting the maintenance
functions noted above. Data logging may be setup to trigger by
one or more of the following events:
- Manual key press
- Preset time interval
- Speed setpoint
- Detection of missed pulses
The data may be examined later on the display or
downloaded to a PC where it can be analyzed in a convenient manner
(such as in one of the popular spreadsheets).
Virtually any number of pulses may be output at a
preset rate, to cause a counting device under test to count up
or down. A preset number or continuous stream of pulse edges may
be output. At the end of a pulse output sequence, the PulsePro
will display the total count sent to the equipment under test.
