APPLICATIONS FOR MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL
If your job is maintenance, with responsibility for
keeping machine downtime minimized, the PulsePro was designed
with you in mind. Features include many test modes in which operator
prompts practically eliminate the need for the manual . Even the
pinouts of the connector may be displayed to promote easy connection
to the device under test. Removable terminal block connectors
allow maintenance terminals to be permanently attached to equipment,
so that the PulsePro may be quickly and conveniently connected
for periodic maintenance checks or on-the-spot repair diagnostics.
- Encoder testing includes:
- Counting pulses between index pulses.
- Continuous display of counts and the states of
the encoder output lines.
- Measuring phase angles.
In the input mode, the PulsePro may monitor counts
and line states (often without disconnecting the device under
test from the circuit). The operator may then compare PulsePro
displayed counts with total counts reported by the system under
test.
In the output mode, the PulsePro may be substituted
for a suspect encoder (or other pulse device). System response
can be checked after a known number, direction, and rate of pulses
are sent out.
More complex maintenance diagnostics such as data
logging are possible when solving difficult or intermittent problems.
